Criterion has been talking about adding a live update board in Burnout Paradise for awhile, and they have one to unviel now. Here is a pre-release shot, which has much of the information you’ll see as part of the Cagney update at the end of June. Criterion stated that “The game will automatically launch this page, when you start the game, but you’ll also be able to access it anytime during the game.”
The News page includes various little widgets like a Calendar, Weather and a Clock. The game calendar lets us call out special events on particular days. Criterion also said they wanted to minimise any delays getting us new game content. They can now do this with server-side changes. They also said “If we want to bring you a special boost free racing day, test a prototype car for a few hours or reward our best forum posters with something special…it’s no problem!” The calendar is where they can do that.
More after the Break
While were on the subject of Burnout Criterion also announced that there will be Motorcycles, Night Driving, and SUVs

How would you like to rome the streets of Paradise City on a motorcycle? If you said Hell Yeah, then you’ll get your shot. You’ll not only be able to do that but also drive at night. Bikes will be available in the Davis update that is due out sometime in August. Criterion also stated that they are commited to bringing us DLC up to a year after the games release, which is nice to great support for a great game after its release.
